Overview

Main influences and inspirations for Kunda Book included old-style classics as Garamond and Jannon. But here comes the twist: calligraphy turns into tough contour lines and serif endings become sharp as a thousand blades. Next: scenes of very dynamic and unexpected stroke crossings. Exposed outstrokes. The story ends with strong shadowing and specially drawn italics.

Kunda is a modern, post-rennaissance serif font with hedonist attitude and controversial details. It comes in six styles including features such as ligatures, old-style figures and stylistic sets. With low medium height, robust serifs and high contrast, it is a distinctive choice for magazines, art books or advertising.

Kunda Book was awarded at the European Design Awards in 2015.
